The collection of Mr. X, the man who lived 500 years

The collection of Mr. X, the man who lived 500 years is perhaps one of the most mysterious titles given to an art exhibition.

Alberta Pane Gallery presents the exhibition The collection of Mr. X, the man who lived 500 years at its Venetian headquarters. The project is based on the premise of a parallel universe, in which the mysterious and anonymous Mr. X decides to celebrate his 500th birthday with an exhibit. In a letter written to the four artists involved, Mr. X discloses some glimpse of his identity: in particular his strong connection to his country Portugal, whose “idiosyncrasies” he learned to love, meaning all the complex events that occurred in its history.

Under that premise, the curator Joana P.R. Neves organised a collective exhibition, that gathers the art works of the Portuguese artists – both native and adopted – Gabriela Albergaria, Kiluanji Kia Henda, Nicolás Robbio e João Vilhena.

You have time until the 12th of December to visit this unmissable exhibit, but first stop by Falciani Restaurant for a good lunch. Take a look at our menu!
