Tiramisù: the Italian dessert par excellence

Tiramisù is the most famous Italian dessert in the world. Its origins are decidedly uncertain and its recipe appears written in recipe books only at the end of the 1960s.

There are those who think it was born in the kitchens of a Veneto restaurant, while others attribute it to Friuli Venezia Giulia; what is certain is that, with its goodness and its sweetness, it has conquered the palates of all lovers of good food.

Its ingredients and its preparation are very reminiscent of those of the “Charlotte“, made with Bavarian cream and ladyfingers and those of the “Zuppa inglese“, which includes biscuits soaked in the Italian liqueur Alchèrmes.

The chefs of the Falciani restaurant present the spoon dessert according to the traditional recipe: a creamy mascarpone cream alternates with a layer of soft biscuits soaked in coffee and a delicious dusting of bitter cocoa adds a strong taste to the dessert.

The tiramisù is ideal for those who do not want to give up a bit of gluttony and it is perfect to finish the meal in style.
